I have a y-c camera that appears to be over driving the video signal into my fibre optic mux. Thing is fuzzy. (I think this may be the same problem as oor buddy with the falcon!)
There is apparently some rs-232 software that can be used to communicate with the camera and control amplification at a key-stroke.
Buggered if I know where the cd-rom is and we don't have a manual. I've tried tom at insite pacific, but it's about 3am. Their web-site may have a download section, but none of the links are active.
Grrr. If anyone has a copy of the software and the pegasus manual, could you please email it to

Just got up, installed the software, and whilst I can exit auto focus to remote focus using the focus control switch down for 2 secs, I can't initiate the long drive amplifier settings "setup" mode.
What's supposed to happen is you hold focus and zoom simultaenously for 15 seconds and the camera will telephoto-wide lens to imply it is in a different "setup" mode .
Trouble is I think our control shack is only capable of sending a single signal to the camera at a time. i.e cannot send simultaneous zoom \focus commands.....
anyone got a quick fix or am I going to have to rig up a 5V ref and re-wire this bucket of bolts\paper weight...
I don't think our control stuff is truly multi-taskin. I am trying to use buttons from two control chairs using my baboon arms as we only have a single mouse per pilot !!
Hell of a morning to start drinkin noggy coffee again !! nobody panic !!!!

SB12 and SB11 solder over 1 and 2 on mobo??

solution was to confirm that SB13 is correctly configured to Y\C or composite video output.
In addition, to remove the line amplifier completely, solder SB11 and SB12 across.
Then remove the connection completely to board OB1500. This has to be done or the video stays corrupted.
If you have grey-out, it is possible that whilst SB11 is soldered across, SB12 is not !!
Thing works for the moment......

I am having similar issues with a pegasus camera possibly over driving a focal 903 mux resulting in overbright topside pictures, it also seems that either the overlay or HDD/DVD player are overamping the signal anyone had a go at adjusting the gain in a pioneer HDD/DVD player before?
