Sepro Technology to deliver next generation ROV handling system to Seabed ASSepro Technology AS has been awarded a contract by Seabed AS for supplying Sepro's Active Heave Compensated (AHC) winch technology & ROV launch and recovery system for a 5.000 meter Work Class ROV.

The scope of supply combines Sepro's unique AHC winch technology together with Sepro's new DPL A-frame and integrated control system. Sepro`s winch technology open up exciting possibilities for active heave compensated winch systems for ROV and subsea operations. The technology is utilizing low speed permanent-magnet motors, often called torque motors. Torque motor drives give significantly better performance and improved reliability in such applications in comparison to conventional asynchronous electrical drives or hydraulic systems. The system delivery from Sepro gains many operational and performance benefits for Seabed AS.
