If nothing else, the 'C-Quester' Uboats could come in handy if this week's snow storms give way to floods.
The £65,000 subs - made from aluminium and stainless steel - can dive 50m, and last under water for up to 36 hours.
And deep-sea drivers are also offered their choice of flashy add-ons - including air conditioning, sonar and go-faster stripes.
The subs weigh up to 1.5tonnes, and feature air purification systems that ensure a healthy supply and flow of oxygen in the cockpit.
Dutch designers say the pressure inside will remain the same whatever the depth, while safety features will prevent the boat sinking too low.
U-Boat Worx director Bert Houtman has wanted to launch a private submarine for 25 years.
'In a time when you can buy almost everything you can think of, there was until now no alternative to scuba diving,' he said.
'Never before was it possible for the public to explore the underwater world with a one-atmosphere submarine.'
He insisted it is 'a remarkable experience'.
