The premier telecommunications conference continues to announce its esteemed lineup of industry experts who will be presenting tutorial sessions at SubOptic 2007. Program Chairman Dave Robles said the three newly scheduled tutorials continue the SubOptic tradition of covering all aspects of the undersea telecommunications industry and the many fields related to it. Admittance to all tutorials is included in the registration fee.

Reed Exhibitions has confirmed that the 8th Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Showcase (UUVS) will take place on 27th-28th September 2006 at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, UK.

Orders are already coming in for companies which last week took part in Subsea 06 - Europe's biggest subsea event.


The one-day event attracted 800 delegates and 80 exhibitors to Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

The growing importance of ROVs is to be recognised by a free half-day seminar ‘ROVs: Leading the way into the future’ at Oceanology International 2006 (OI2006), organised by the Remote Systems & ROV Division of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA).

Russian Academy of Sciences, P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, Federal Agency for Sciences and Technologies of the Russian Federation, Scientific Council on the Problems of the World Ocean, VNIIOceangeology, Yuzhmorgeo, Sevmorgeo, Moscow State University, LOIRA organize the XVI International Conference on Marine Geology. The Conference will take place in Moscow on November 14-18, 2005.

The attendance at this year's highly-successful Offshore Europe oil and gas show in Aberdeen has broken all records.

Organisers revealed yesterday that more than 30,000 people from all corners of the world flooded through the doors of Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre during the four days of the OE05 event.

This smashed the OE record set two years ago of 26,337.
