Statoil has awarded a subsidiary of Oceaneering International a technology development contract to provide the development, manufacturing, testing, and mobilization of a self-contained, battery-powered work class remotely operated vehicle (E-ROV) system deployed on the seabed of the North Sea.

Two GulfMark PSVs start contracts in the North Sea

HOUSTON – GulfMark Offshore has won two new long-term vessel contracts.

One, running for two years plus options, involves a charter of the platform supply vessel M/V Highland Prince, built in 2010, to ASCO Marine for use in the UK sector.

MMRRC PURCHASED A NEW ROV UNDER THE MAREI SCIENCE FOUNDATION IRELAND INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT

Mobile & Marine Robotics Research Centre (MMRRC), operating at the University of Limerick (UL), has purchased a new Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV), and associated launch and recovery systems, under a MaREI Science Foundation Ireland infrastructure grant (15/RI/3232).

Ocean Installer Secures FSU Mooring Deal in Malta

Ocean Installer has been awarded a turnkey project for procurement and installation of a spread mooring chain system for a floating storage unit (FSU) in Malta.

The mooring installation and hook-up takes place in Marsaxlokk Bay, where the FSU will be providing re-gasified LNG for the fueling of electricity generators onshore at Delimara power station.

As the company informed, the client is ElectroGas Malta.

Fugro Inks Hydrographic Deal with CHS in Canada

Fugro has been awarded a supply arrangement by the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) to provide vessel based hydrographic survey services. Under the contract CHS will procure hydrographic surveys as needed, anywhere in Canada.

Statoil has awarded Oceaneering International Inc. an eight-year contract to provide two work-class electric ROVs for its Cat-J jackup drilling rigs in the North Sea. Statoil’s Cat- J rig is a fit-for-purpose harsh environment jackup for operations in both surface and subsea wells in the shallow-water segments on the Norwegian continental shelf.
