i-Tech Announces Major Contract Awards

Subsea 7: i-Tech Announces Major Contract Awardsi-Tech, the recently-created division of global subsea construction and engineering contractor Subsea 7 Inc. (OSE Symbol: SUB), has today announced the award of two new contracts with an estimated total value of approximately $20m.

i-Tech has been awarded a four year contract by Alfanave Maritime Transport Ltda., the Brazilian subsidiary of the North American group, Edison Chouest Offshore.  Under the terms of the contract, i-Tech will provide a new build deepwater Hercules ROV system and underwater positioning services onboard the anchor handling tug ‘Mr. Chaffic’ offshore Brazil. 

i-Tech has also been awarded a year long contract by Noble Energy EG Limited., an affiliate of Noble Energy Inc., for ROV and intervention tooling services.  i-Tech will provide a 125hp work-class vehicle onboard the reactivated drilling unit ‘Songa Saturn’ for work offshore Equatorial Guinea. 

i-Tech’s Managing Director, Neil Milne, commented, “We are particularly delighted with these awards as we have been able to secure work with two new clients.  These awards further consolidate our position as market leader in relation to the provision of ROV services both offshore Brazil and Equatorial Guinea.”
