General Robotics Ltd. (GRL) opens Aberdeen officeGeneral Robotics has opened an Aberdeen office to support its growing number of customers in the North Sea offshore industry.

Situated in the center of the city, the new office will maintain close relations with GRL's clients in Aberdeen, including Sonsub, DeepOcean, and Fugro. Equipped with a full ROVolution simulator and DeepWorks visualization suite, the Aberdeen office will cater for subsea sales and offer ROV pilot training, the company says.

"We wanted to be in Aberdeen to work alongside our customers, so it's fundamentally aimed at closer relationships and closer support, so customers have someone around the corner who can come in," says Miller Crockart, head of business development at GRL.

"We also think being geographically close to the client we can better understand the problems they face on a day-to-day basis and in so doing we can come up with more solutions."
