SMD win China Offshore Oil Engineering (COOEC) contract for two WROVs

SMD win China Offshore Oil Engineering (COOEC) contract for two WROV'sSMD have been awarded a contract to supply two work class ROVs to China Offshore Oil Engineering Co. Ltd. (COOEC). Two 150HP Quantum units will be supplied, each complete with launch & recovery system, control cabin and workshop cabin all built by SMD in the UK. Valued in excess of £4m, this contract award reinforces COOEC's confidence in the ability of SMD.

Commenting on the award, Mike Jones, Sales Director at SMD said "We are delighted to work with COOEC to double their existing fleet of SMD supplied work class ROVs. This contract award further strengthens our dominant position in the supply of Work Class ROVs to the offshore market in Asia."
