Subsea 7 has announced a recent £6M aggregate award from CNR International (UK) Limited for work associated with the Banff and Kyle fields located in approximately 90m water depths in central North Sea.
The Banff scope of work includes the installation of a 120Te manifold to convert water injection wells into producers and the reconfiguration of another into a gas injection well. As part of the scope a six inch flowline will be laid and installation and disconnection of spools will also be required.
An additional workscope to tie-in the Kyle well 14 flowline to the Banff FPSO will also be undertaken. Onshore planning and engineering has already commenced with offshore operations due to start in the third quarter 2004. It is envisaged that Subsea 7 vessels Polaris and Pelican will be utilised for these projects.
Subsea 7’s UK vice president, Robin Davies said, “This award strengthens our position as a leading subsea contractor in
the North Sea and strengthens our existing relationship with one of our key clients building on earlier successful
projects which we have undertaken for CNR”.
