Perry Slingsby Systems secures $11 million contract with Canyon OffshoreLeading supplier of remotely intervention technologies and equipment Perry Slingsby Systems (PSS) has secured a contract to supply two new generation Triton XLX ROV systems and one Triton XLS ROV system to specialist marine contracting services firm Canyon Offshore Inc.

The agreement will see PSS deliver two of the 3,000m systems this summer with the final system delivered before the end of the year.

Each TXLX system features the ICE™ control system (Integrated Controls Engine) and a standard suite of survey and advanced tooling interfaces. ICE™ is the latest generation of subsea control system that provides an intuitive front end user interface with unparalleled system level diagnostics.

Canyon Offshore, part of the Helix Group, and PSS have benefited from a long partnership together. This latest order brings the total number of TXLS/TXLX systems contracted by the company to 20. This latest contract is the first delivery of the new generation TXLX system to Canyon.

PSS is a member of Triton Group Holdings (TGH), which is an international group of businesses, offering a range of control system based products and systems with complimentary services. Products include the widest range of market leading electric and hydraulic ROVs for inspection, survey and light intervention applications through to deepwater heavy construction applications.

PSS chief operating officer Bruce Lokay said: "Canyon Offshore is a valued customer and we are very pleased that our long term relationship with them is set to continue. The contract award recognizes our ability to deliver quality and reliability as well as our capability to offer our customers new and innovative technology."
