Veripos 5 year positioning contract awarded by Trident OffshoreTrident Offshore, leading marine contractors whose worldwide marine activities on behalf of major oil and gas companies include supervision of over 120 rig moves per year in deep to ultra-deep waters as well as congested field development areas, has commissioned Veripos to provide a full range of precision GNSS positioning services and associated support under an exclusive five-year global contract.

The agreement calls for Veripos to provide its complete range of proprietary satellite positioning services extending from its Veripos Standard GNSS augmentation service to its Veripos Ultra decimetre accuracy Precise Point Positioning (PPP) capability. As part of the agreement Veripos will also provide its range of LD2 and LD3 integrated GNSS receiver and demodulator mobile units and Veripos user-configurable Verify-QC software packages for real-time assessment and post-processing of data in addition to support of both single and multi-reference station calculations.

Commenting on the agreement announced at Oceanology International 08, Walter Steedman, General Manager of Veripos, said: "We have provided positioning services to Trident for a number of years now and are therefore delighted at this long term contract award which clearly demonstrates the confidence which Trident Offshore has in the services and quality support which Veripos offer."
