A fire occurred on a drill ship working at an oil field run by Brazil's state oil company Petrobras on Wednesday night, injuring at least four workers, and the company said Thursday the fire had been put out.
The NS15 ship, subcontracted by Petrobras, was drilling a well between the fields of Albacora Leste and Marlim Sul in the Campos basin off Rio de Janeiro state coast, a Petrobras spokesman said.
The spokesman could not say what caused the fire.
"The fire has been put out. The wellhead was shut to prevent bigger problems," he said.
