The North Sea drill rig "West Venture" will be brought to shore for repairs, after it was damaged by a supply ship in the early hours of Sunday morning.

left two holes in one of the platform legs.

The holes are well above the water line, and the situation is under full control, according to
the Air/Sea Rescue Center South.
The rig is now being readied for being towed ashore. There were altogether 107
persons aboard the platform.
The accident happened when the supply vessel experienced difficulties with the engine
control systems when the crew were about to board the platform.
