Superior Offshore International, Inc. (NASDAQ: DEEP) a leading provider of subsea construction and commercial diving services on the outer continental shelf of the Gulf of Mexico, has named Patrice Chemin as its Chief Operating Officer, or COO, effective immediately.
With over 35 years of oilfield-related and international marine construction experience, Chemin is a tremendous addition to Superior Offshore International's executive management team.

As COO, Chemin will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Superior Offshore International's Commercial Diving/Subsea Construction, Construction/Fabrication, ROV and Deepwater divisions.

Chemin has been the U.S Representative of Consolidated Contractors Company, or CCC, an international oilfield construction services company. In addition, Chemin has been President of Carmel Contracting Company, Inc., an energy services company, since its formation in January 2005. From 2001 to 2004, Chemin was the Manager of Business Development at CCC. From December 1997 to December 2000, Chemin served as President of Torch Offshore, Inc. From 1981 to 1997, Chemin served in a number of capacities at Stolt Offshore Inc., including as President- U.S. from 1995 to 1997, Vice President- Asia Pacific from 1994 to 1995, and Vice President of Business Development- Asia Pacific from 1992 to 1993.
