Hallin order further two SMD Hydrovision WROV Systems

Hallin order further two SMD Hydrovision WROV SystemsOffshore contractor Hallin Marine has exercised the option for a further two 100hp, 2000m Quasar Compact ROV systems. The new systems are scheduled for delivery the second quarter of 2007.

Quasar Compact 003 & 004 will be accompanied by SMDH 8Te launch systems, SMDH deepwater winch systems and SMDH Compact tether management systems.

Click image to enlargeHallin’s steadily growing fleet will now total six SMDH Q-Series ROV systems including two Quantum construction class systems.  Mike Jones, SMD Hydrovision’s Sales Director, commented “We are very pleased to be supplying Hallin with further systems.  We always look to develop long term relationships with our customers and this shows great commitment from Hallin to our products and service”

The Quasar Compact is a member of the SMDH’s Q-Series range of workclass ROVs which include the Quark, Quasar and Quantum vehicles.  Each system is different in size offering varying levels of capability while still sharing many component parts easing spare part holding for fleet customers. 

SMD Hydrovision have been manufacturing high quality underwater remotely operated systems and associated deck handling equipment for over 30 years.  In addition to ROV systems, SMDH is world renowned for seabed intervention systems such as cable and pipeline, ploughs and trenchers designed for sustained operation in the harshest environments.
