 ACCESS Co UK Ltd, Britain’s leading Micro ROV manufacturer has delivered an ACROV Underwater Inspection System to FMC Technologies Ltd. FMC Technologies, the leading manufacturer and supplier of subsea production systems, had a requirement to update and improve the visual inspection of subsea equipment within their test tank. Historically, a network of dropper cameras has been used to monitor the testing of equipment.

Tyco Telecommunications and NEC begin construction of Unity Cable System

 Tyco Telecommunications (US) Inc. and NEC Corporation today announced the commencement of construction on the Unity Cable System, a high-bandwidth, trans-Pacific, optical submarine cable system that will link Los Angeles, U.S. to Chikura, Japan. The contract for the project was signed on February 23, 2008, between the Unity Consortium, comprising of six purchasers, Bharti Airtel, Global Transit, Google, KDDI, Pacnet and SingTel and suppliers Tyco Telecommunications and NEC Corporation.

 The RESON SeaBat 9001 and SeaBat 6012 Systems have served RESON's customers well for many years. RESON, however, decided to discontinue production and service support of these systems immediately as their vendors discontinue the manufacture of some of the required components. However, some components 'might' still be available as new or second-hand parts on a first-come basis. Please contact a RESON service center in each case.

 RESON B.V. has been awarded a new contract by the Swiss-based Allseas Group S.A's to deliver a total of eight SeaBat 7125 multibeam sonar systems with four Teledyne-TSS 440 Pipetrackers and four sets of Valeport CTD and current sensors. The sensors will be used on remotely operated vehicles (ROV) down to depths of 4000 meters.
