Hi all,

I have been off-line for some tim due to some ISP problems, but im back. I’ve been searching for somthing that could help me getting a start.

I found this book:
Handbook for ROV pilots/techniciancs

It’s not a cheap book and I haven’t seen a copy, but if you are going to buy it please try and use our Amazon links on this site… then do a search for: ROV Pilot Technicians

That search will pull the book up for you and if you purchase that book, or any other for that matter, we will get some commission and the cash will go into the ROVworld kitty.

Don’t waste your money, all info in this book is available within this website for free & a few days offshore will teach you the rest.

Hi K2,

That is the problem. Im not working off-shore yet. I need the info to prepair myself. Sure, all the info is available on this website, but im not gonna print it all out or spend hours reading of some old comp-screen.

I realy want to learn as much as possible, have it with me at all times and if it helps me getting a good start or a succesfull jobinterview I see it as money well spend!

I’ve got that book and I can tell yo it’s a waste of money.

If you want to buy, buy it here for $190,00

Another book and much cheaper is The ROV Manual by Robert D Christ and Robert L. Wernli for $90.

Handbook for ROV pilots/techniciancs

Oh, I got that as a PDF file, think its about 120 Meg. Never actually read it but I doubt its worth the horrendous amount they want for it 😯
