Test tank !!

I need to build a test tank….. nothing too severe, maybe a meter by a couple of meters by a meter deep….

Anyone know of people in town who can put one together reliably??

Which town? This is a world wide forum. Plenty of guys in Cape Town that can do this for you.

Last time we built a test tank, used wooden pallets held together with cargoe straps and lined with tarpauline, it was 2 pallets on the long side and one across the short side, this was as large as the deck loading would allow, also doubled up a swimming pool for dirty beers 😀

We (ROVworld.eu) had a test tank made out of acrylic by a UK firm, and then had it shipped to Portugal. I can supply details if required.
The glory of using acrylic of course is it’s a lot harder to break than glass.

You have given no indication of where you are, and as quite rightly stated by ROVRatt this is an international forum.

The town name and country might help narrow it down a bit and maybe give you some more direct local knowledge.

It’s definitely an international website.

To some there may be only one Aberdeen, and I guess any of those people could have been born in any one of the places below. To them there would only be one Aberdeen and their first language would also be English with one accent or another.

In some sort of alphabetical order.

Aberdeen, Australia
Aberdeen, Canada
Aberdeen, Scotland
Aberdeen, USA (Maryland)
Aberdeen, USA (South Dakota)

Well I guess that narrows it down a bit.

A bit tongue in cheek I know but hopefully gets the point across.

By the way, the tank shown is in 15mm Acrylic. It’s actually a fish tank made to our design, size requirements. One of those requirements being that it had to fit in the back of our company car. Fiat Punto Grande Van.

We only wheel it out for demos at exhibitions and have it topped up in the office for in house demos and testing when required.
The stand we made ourselves from welded angle iron sections.

Good luck with the tank Savante, there have to be engineering firms in Aberdeen Scotland that could build you one of these tanks.
