Just in from offshore…… North Sea, UK.

Some creatures just never get it right!

Seen lots of other types of marine life get caught on vehicles, but never a shark. The only shark event I had personally was when a big blue one had wrapped itself around the poor little RCV-225 tether and was thrashing it about until the "blackout"…

We’ve sat and looked at this throughout the shift and reckon it’s a set-up!

    a) Not enough damage to the vehicle
b)Hose seems to have been placed between the fangs after death (no obvious hose damage)
    c) Plenty of room for it to get out so why didn’t it fall out as the vehicle left the water?

Perhaps Subsea7 can provide more info?

It happened in the early morning off Angola 7/11/08.I should know as I took the photos and can’t believe they have got this far already. No Hoax

These are the best photos only damage was a couple of loose fittings punctured comp hose and three subcons pulled out.

You could say it was a bit of a supprise.

That shark must have been as stupid as the swordfish in this videoclip but less lucky.
