A 70 meter Diving Support Vessel is currently in full production on the Niigata shipyard in Japan. The vessel is being build for Dutch shipowner Hanzevast and has been engineered by De Hoop. Furthermore, De Hoop has supplied most equipment for this hi-tech vessel.
Niigata shipyard (a subsidairy of the large Mitsui corporation) has a good reputation in the build of all kind of vessels. The interfirm cooperation with De Hoop started on this project when Noordhoek Offshore did an enquiry for a newbuild DSV with De Hoop.
Due to a full orderbook, De Hoop has come to an agreement with Hanzevast and Niigata to build this vessel in Japan. The vessel called Noordhoek Constructor is ordered by Hanzevast Shipping and shall be chartered out to Noordhoek Offshore for works in the North Sea.
