Hi guys,

I jave a quick questiom

I want to know why the light unit in the imaging module has a fan on the back.

Is it for cooling purpose. If yes then my question is that the imaging module always works under a vacum of 0.2 bar. So if there is no air inside . Why do we need a fan...

I am just trying to understanding how it works

I am not trying to look smart

I don't know the equipment, however 0.2 bar vacuum is not a total vacuum, there is still air in there (just 0.2 bar less than atmosphere) therefore there is still some air in there capable of transferring heat so the fan is still there to move it.

Thank you for your reply Ray

Ray is correct.

The LED light units on the Navajo have a thermistor fitted on the heat sink so when the temperature reaches around 75°C the PWM drive shuts down extinguishing the LED’s.
If the lights are left on out of water the lights will go off, but when the vehicle is in the water they stay on, this proves at- 0.2 of a bar there is enough air to cool.
