Greetings,

looking for ROV operable (underwater) switch....needs to be able to handle 48vdc 8 amp and depth rating of 1500M would prefer rotary actuated.........any help or direction would be greatly appreciated

I used a piece of equipment, a while back, which had an external magnet that we had to place close to the lid to switch the unit on and off. So you could have a unit with no external switches and use a magnet to switch it on and off from the outside.

thanks for reply.........we have used reed/ magnetic switch in the past also.. unfortunatley this is for a long term deployment 5 years....... a magnet wont work this time...dissimilar metals etc....we have to be able to cut sea floor system power on and off several times a year via ROV. I was looking for an off the self type cure.....

Or do a search for underwater switches. There are a few companies making them.
