I have on my desk an Osprey camera marked E1360-0424. It has a male 8 pin Burton 5507-2008-0002 connection. 5 of the pins is in use.

The camera has probably been on a norwegian offshore instalation, but thats all i know about it. The condition is unknown.

Can anyone on the forum help me with spesifications and wiring diagram? And a user manual would be perfect if it's possible.

I need to test the condition and decide if we can use it as a spare camera for our ROV

Camera wiring is most probably

Pin 1 0V
Pin 2 24V
Pin 3 Video

0424 is the serial number of the camera, don't have any info on a 1360 but the fact its marked as Osprey means its from the 90s I would guess, Simrad bought Osprey then Kongsberg bought Simrad

I believe its a CCD camera, most likely black and white, the 1362 was a ccd colour, a 1364 a SVHS colour and 1366 CCD colour zoom.

Thank you Smile I got today an answer from another camera expert, who also belived it was an very old camera with low picture quality.

So it's probably nothing to use as a spare camera for our ROV.

For fun, I'll try to test it with your pin combination.

5 of the 8 pins is connected inside the camera. There is also a motor and a ring gear right behind the lens. So pin 4 and 5 is probably for that motor (focus or zoom).

it will be a focus. most likely 12 V across pins 4 & 5, reverse the polarity to focus the other way.

What you could do is pull the guts out and just use the housing to install a more modern CCD camera, but see what the picture is like first.

Thanks Thumb Up
