Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner Limited are pleased to announce the release of Coabis 9.2. Building on the already-successful Coabis 9 application, the new version includes an interface with VisualSoft's VisualWorks digital video encoding function. This provides similar functionality to the existing Coabis-NETmc DVRi digital video interface.
Since its release in September 2004, the existing Coabis-NETmc digital video interface has been successfully used offshore by Shell EP Europe, Shell Todd Oil Services, Talisman Energy UK, Chevron Upstream Europe and BP West Java. Aker Kvaerner are confident that the introduction of the Coabis-VisualWorks interface as an additional option will help increase the uptake of digital video as a replacement for video tapes in the underwater work management sector.
