Italy's cable-maker Prysmian SpA said the Dutch-German grid operator TenneT awarded it new orders worth more than EUR200 million for the HelWin2 project.
The project is meant to link offshore wind farms in the North Sea to mainland Germany. In an official communique, Prysmian specified that it will see to the supplying, setting up and testing of an underwater and overland cable system. This order is part of a wider agreement which is worth over EUR600 million and that was signed with the Prysmian and Siemens Energy consortium.
