Seatronics has entered an agreement with Oceaneering InternationalSeatronics has entered a Master Services Agreement with Oceaneering International, Inc. whereby Seatronics becomes a rental supplier of ROV tools belonging to Oceaneering's Deepwater Technical Services (DTS) division.

Seatronics will offer worldwide the range of tools from DTS's extensive equipment catalogue. This includes various torque tools and test jigs, the flying lead orientation tool (FLOT), the linear valve override tool (LVOT), caliper tools, the Subsea Intelligent Display, hot stabbing equipment, gasket tools, cleaning tools, cutters and the GTO dredging systems.

Seatronics and Oceaneering DTS will work closely together to ensure the equipment is maintained to the highest standards, tested thoroughly and supplied in first-class condition.

Mike Gilliam, Oceaneering DTS, said: "Seatronics is a natural partner in this enterprise for a number of reasons: the company's geographical spread matches Oceaneering's; it has firm plans to expand its business in some of the key emerging markets around the world; and its is widely recognised for its understanding of the industry and the quality of the service it offers."

The agreement with Oceaneering DTS is part of a concerted move by Seatronics into the ROV tooling business.

David Currie, managing director, Seatronics, said: "ROV tool rental fits perfectly alongside our subsea electronics rental activities. Adding these tools to our inventory improves our ability to provide integrated ROV equipment packages. The character of the rental market has changed. It is no longer enough simply to shift boxes of equipment here and there; customers are increasingly looking for help in devising technical solutions to specific operational challenges."
