Perry Slingsby Systems has contracted with Noeldive to supply a 3,000 m (9,842 ft) rated Triton XLR ROV system for delivery in 1Q 2011.
The purchase contract will see PSS supply a 3,000m rated Triton XLR system which will be equipped with ICE net controls, a heavy‐weather launch and recovery system, in addition to a 650m excursion tether management unit for superior operational capabilities which is required by Noeldive's expanding operational requirements.
The scheduled delivery will be 1st Quarter 2011.
PSS, now part of Forum Energy Technologies (FET) based in Houston Texas, will provide interface and installation services from its Asia Pacific base in Singapore. Immediately following delivery, the ROV will be deployed in support of Noeldive Pte Ltd's global operations and will be supported by Perry from its network of service centers in Aberdeen, Singapore, Houston and Brazil.
Bruce Lokay, Asia Pacific regional director said: "This is a very significant milestone for our company in that this contract brings our total sales in the region to over $50 million in just two years. Our global investment in strategic service centers and specifically Asia is validated by these contract awards and will continue to be a very important component of our growth strategy."
Noeldive's managing director Joseph David said: "Our decision to purchase a Triton XLR system was to support the growing needs of our ROV division which is amongst one of Noeldive's four divisions. The capability and flexibility of the Triton XLR has impressed us and it is an accepted industry bench mark for work class ROV systems.
"The award of the contract to PSS is also seen as long term relationship with Noeldive where we are able to secure larger market share of subsea contracts globally with the support of PSS's technologies and systems."
