Two additional U.S. flagged Oceaneering Dive Support Vessels (DSVs) are scheduled to join the company's Gulf of Mexico fleet during the first quarter of 2011.
The new-build Ocean Project is a state-of-the-art DSV outfitted to perform subsea inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services and to support construction operations. The 200 foot by 46 foot vessel will replace a vessel of the same name, built in 1972. The new vessel features built-in below deck equipment, a 4-point mooring system and 3,000 ft² of clear deck space.
The Ocean Patriot is a renamed 240-ft, DP-2 MSV built in 2002 that is undergoing upgrades to permanently install a 12-man SAT diving system and telecommunications, video and survey equipment. The vessel features a 40-T crane, 4,500 ft² of clear project deck and a baffled moonpool.
