PDM Neptec have been awarded a three year contract with Trinity House to supply electrical cubicles for a new design of navigation buoy. PDM will manufacture a range of electrical junction and distribution boxes incorporating underwater cables and connectors that will be fully exposed to the hostile marine environment of the UK coastline. PDM's considerable experience of underwater cables, connectors, and harnesses enabled this diversification into the wiring of electrical cubicles for harsh environment applications.
Trinity House, a lighthouse and charitable corporation formed by Royal Charter in 1514, were impressed with the PDM integrated management system operating to BS EN ISO 9001:2008, the depth of knowledge and experience of underwater engineering in the Applications & Design Department, and the solution offered to them to resolve their problems within a harsh marine environment.
PDM Neptec have come a long way from starting out as a Teledyne Impulse distributor in UK and Europe for their underwater connectors and harnesses. PDM now has five full time design engineers with a combined total of 135 years of design and manufacturing experience in underwater engineering from such diverse areas as atmospheric diving to bespoke housings for video cameras and instrumentation. The engineers are also able to draw upon experience from other areas of manufacturing, with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and injection moulding. On top of all this, the recent KTP into cathodic delamination applications for moulding and primers has improved the advice available and manufactured items supplied.
PDM Neptec are a designer, manufacturer, and quality supplier of underwater connectivity solutions.
