Bourbon and Schilling Robotics develop a new design of ROVsBourbon Subsea Services and Schilling Robotics have combined their expertise and experience to develop a new generation of ROVs (submarine robots) for the Inspection, Maintenance and Repair of offshore fields, market segment supported by the need for regular maintenance of the existing subsea infrastructures on fields currently in operation.

HD ROVThe HD ROV is a robot "Work Class" type, with a more compact design and less energy consumption, equaling the largest ROVs by carrying up to 250 kilos of equipment in operation. Its design is perfectly suited to great precision work as well as handling loads up to 3000 kilos by 3000 meters deep.

Finally, the robot's small footprint, its launch system and tools are easily transportable. They can be quickly sent to the scene of operations at the customers' request; the surface occupied is also optimized on the IMR vessels.

With its design and improved performance, the HD ROV is a flexible response to the technological developments and requests of the most demanding Bourbon Subsea Services oil customers.

By taking delivery of two HD ROVs in the second half of the year, Bourbon Subsea Services will expand the range of services in its fleet. These additional ROVs are an ideal complement to the UHD ROVs (Ultra Heavy Duty), "Work Class" type operating at 4000m, and its ROVs for smaller operations around 3000m deep.
