In the first of two research reports covering marine services for undersea telecom cables, Pioneer Consulting's new report entitled Cableships of the World, provides background and overview of the global, deep water cableship market.
These dedicated, specialized, ocean-going vessels are the backbone of the undersea telecommunications industry. This fleet of cableships provides installation, maintenance and repair services for the more than one million kilometers of cable placed under the oceans of the world.
Cableships of the World provides a comprehensive review of the status of the cableship market complete with market segmentation and industry fundamentals as they apply to the cableship market. Among its objectives, Pioneer Consulting seeks to both define and quantify the current deep water cableship industry.
"This comprehensive report is an essential reference tool for any individual working in the submarine fiber optic cable industry. In particular, the report includes a deep water cableship database where specifications are presented for both active and inactive cableships." stated Howard Kidorf, Managing Partner of Pioneer Consulting.
A second report provided a comprehensive description of the entire marine maintenance industry including: smaller, shallow water operations, cable depots, and marine surveys which are among many other topics that will be released by Pioneer before the end of 2009.
