One year ago the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) announced that their membership had reached 500. In just twelve months it has grown even further – by more than 20% – to stand at over 600 members active in more than 50 countries.
The continuing expansion is impressive enough in terms of numbers, but the true significance is that the association is continuing to gain wider recognition throughout the global industry, with key guidance used by contractors and clients world-wide, and speaking with a stronger voice on behalf of an enlarged membership on issues affecting the industry in markets around the world.
Growth is occurring in all regions, but the new Central & South America Section is a particular area of focus, with special reduced subscription arrangements for 2009 and 2010 in place.
