Panton in new contracts bid

Posted on 24.01.2009 - 06:38 UTC in INSPECTION NEWS (Subsea) by Rons_ROV_Links

Water cleaning specialist Panton McLeod has carried out its first contract with Folkestone and Dover Water Services.

The firm, based in the Scottish Borders, hopes the inspection it carried out using a specialist ROV unit at a facility in Kent will lead to more work in the region.

Paul Henderson, operations director with Panton McLeod, said: "Our technology lets us carry out an inspection while supplies through the reservoir are unaffected.

"We remotely control the ROV unit and it inspects the tank quickly and safely, while water is in use."
