General Acoustics’ new sub-bottom profiler and LOG_aLevel tide gauge at the Oceanology International 2008 in London
The new state of the art "SUBPRO 1210" Sub-Bottom Profiler will be featured at the Oceanology International 2008 in London from 11-13 March at booth 1120, which is shared with General Acoustics' UK representative RUCO. The Sub-Bottom Profiler operates with 12 KHz and a peak power of up to 10 KW. The system shows solutions for many applications and different tasks. Especially the use in very shallow water starting at 1.5 m, the high resolution and the 10 m penetration in sand will surprise and excite the visitors.
General Acoustics also will exhibit its tide and wave gauge LOG_aLevel. The system is autonomous, calibration and maintenance-free and is operated on all continents. It won several comparison tests (e.g. RIZA 2005) and received the BfG (German Hydrographic Office) approval 2007. Additional it has a remarkable cost/performance ratio.
The mobile version of LOG_aLevel is used e.g. by the US Army Corps of Engineers district SF to support survey operations with accurate tidal and wave data.
