Clough Projects International Pty Ltd. secured a multipurpose support vessel from DOF Subsea (Asia Pacific) to support the installation of Maari wellhead platform in New Zealand.
DOF Subsea's DP2 enabled Geobay will provide support for remotely operated vehicle (ROV), engineering, survey and other work associated with the installation of the platform. Geobay arrived in Singapore on Jan. 20 and is expected to begin work in the Maari field in early April.
The Maari structure is a self-installing, not normally manned, wellhead platform to be installed in about 105 metres (344 ft) of water. Clough has secured two other vessels, an anchor handling tug supply vessel and a construction support vessel, from Unimar to support the installation of the platform.
