ROV Pilot/ Technician Training Courses to be conducted in Aberdeen

Sonavision Ltd announce the launch of training courses for the ROV industry to be held in the heart of the North Sea Oil Capital. The courses will be available for budding ROV Pilot Technicians wishing to join the ROV industry and includes industrial electronics, electrical and hydraulic engineering and ROV Engineering skills.

The courses are based around the ROV courses previously available at Fort William and Course Tutor Paul Bury commented "the students are receiving exactly the same courses as they would have received in Fort William, with the added benefit of the Aberdeen location, right at the hub of the offshore industry".

Director Geoff Bush commented "the ROV courses previously offered at the Fort William have been transferred and this is especially good news for the four students on the course running currently as it has enabled them to proceed with their scheduled training. Students who paid their course fees in advance are having their training honoured by Sonavision at no additional cost.

The students have visited the factory of one of the major manufacturers of observation class ROV's and regular visited are planned with operational companies as part of the training".

Course are scheduled to start in April, June and August of 2004.

Actually I'm inclined to think that locating the school in Aberdeen is a good thing for those attending... it puts them close to potential work and they can drum up some contacts whilst in the City. Not any easy thing to do when in the like of Fort Bill.
