Onshore News: Oceaneering joins Gulf of Mexico Foundation

Oceaneering International, Inc. (NYSE:OII) has announced its membership in the Gulf of Mexico Foundation (GMF), an organization which promotes conservation of the Gulf of Mexico through education, awareness, and research.
T. Jay Collins, President and Chief Executive Officer of Oceaneering, stated "We are delighted to join Gulf of Mexico Foundation as part of our global commitment to protect the environment, including the world's bodies of water, in which we work. As a provider of services and products used in the exploration and development of the Gulf of Mexico's oil and gas reserves, we are very much a part of the Gulf community. Consequently, we recognize the importance of protecting the environment to the continued success of our operations and for maintaining the quality of life for all who reside there."
Paul Kelly, President of the Gulf of Mexico Foundation, said "We are very fortunate to have Oceaneering become a member of our team and are pleased to welcome Jay Collins to our CEO Council. It is another example of the serious commitment that the energy industry has made to conserve natural resources for future generations."
Quenton Dokken, Executive Director of the Gulf of Mexico Foundation, adds that Mr. Collins has designated M. Kevin McEvoy, Executive Vice President, to represent Oceaneering on the Foundation's Board of Directors. Mr. McEvoy, with 35 years of industry experience, is responsible for three of Oceaneering's five oilfield business operations.
"If we are going to preserve the Gulf of Mexico as a sustainable resource it is essential that business and industry take a proactive leadership position. We are looking forward to working with Kevin and Oceaneering."
Other Gulf of Mexico Foundation partners include BP, ConocoPhillips, Dominion, Rowan, Transocean, and Shell.
