Subsea 7 awarded Hydro Oseberg Vestflanken

Subsea 7 today confirms the award of the EPCI contract for Oseberg Vestflanken project by Hydro ASA. The basic scope of work covers the Engineering, Procurement and Installation of the Oseberg Vestflanken project which is a tie back to the Hydro operated Oseberg field centre. The approximate contract value for Oseberg Vestflanken is 40 mUSD. Subsea 7 have also received a letter of intent for the Tune phase 2 tie back which is an extension to the Tune Phase 1 project completed by Subsea 7 in 2002.

The Oseberg Vestflanken EPCI scope of work involves fabrication and installation of two 9”, 9.7 km rigid flowlines, procurement and installation of an Integrated Service Umbilical, all subsea installation and construction work including trenching and rockdumping of the flowlines and umbilical system. The work will be performed summer 2005. Skandi Navica, Subsea 7 pipelay vessel will be utilised for the pipeline and umbilical installation work.

The scope of work for the Tune Phase 2 includes a 3.2 km, 8” flexible flowline and a service umbilical of same distance. If option exercised, this part of the work will also be performed summer 2005 after completion Oserberg Vestflanken.
