General: Hallin Marine UK Ltd’s managing director appointed to prestigious IMCA Committee

Mike Arnold, Hallin Marine UK Ltd’s managing director, has been elected to the International Marine Contractors Association’s (IMCA) prestigious Remote Systems & ROV Division management committee.
Mike, 45, is a veteran of the subsea intervention industry and has extensive experience in the construction, development, operation and marketing of Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
He joined Hallin Marine to start its ROV operation in Aberdeen in 2006 and now ROV activities accounts for some 30% of the AIM-listed company’s turnover.
IMCA Remote Systems & ROV Division is concerned with all aspects of equipment, operations and personnel related to remotely controlled systems (including ROVs) used in support of marine activities. It has four regional sections and also address technical and safety issues affecting members in each area of the globe.
Mike Arnold said: “It is a great honour to be elected to the IMCA ROV Division management committee. This is a vital body that helps ensure the safe and ethical operation of this technical equipment around the globe. I look forward to serving IMCA in any way that I can.”
