Applied Acoustics sells its 50th Easytrak to CaspianLabApplied Acoustics recently sold its 50th Easytrak subsea tracking system. This was one of a pair ordered by CaspianLab in Azerbaijan for use in the Caspian Sea.

Easytrak is a portable ultra-short baseline tracking system that employs a multi-element single transducer to relay and to receive acoustic signals from multiple underwater targets. From these, the user can determine range, bearing and depth.

The company sold its first system in June 2005 to an oceanographic institute in New Zealand. Others have gone since to offshore survey companies such as Fugro and Gardline for projects in the North Sea, West Africa, Gulf of Mexico, and Southeast Asia.
