From the South Atlantic to South KensingtonIsis, the deep sea remotely operated vehicle (ROV), based at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, has built is reputation going to the far-reaches of the planet and the oceans' inhospitable depths.

But it will find itself in a quite different environment this week as the subject of an exhibition at the Science Museum in London.
A model of Isis will feature in one of the museum's Antenna Live events, which are run during the school holidays, ensuring that large numbers of visitors will be able to learn about the ROV - and see some of the superb video footage it has captured.

They will also get the chance to chat to NOCS representatives about the technology and recent expeditions.

Isis will appear at the Science Museum from Tuesday 31 July.

Entry to the Science Museum is free, apart from special themed exhibitions.
