Energy services firm Fugro said yesterday it was "progressing well" with
its 90-day consultation on redundancies.
The group said last month it planned to make up to 174 staff redundant from its 570-strong Aberdeen workforce, but later hoped the losses could be almost 60% less than those feared.
That was after almost 100 potential job opportunities were identified elsewhere within the Dutch group.
Joint managing director Jim Sommerville said: "By the end of next week, we hope to have our entire senior and operations management team in place and a significant number of jobs confirmed as secure."
He was confident compulsory redundancies at the end of the consultation period would be much lower than the total staff reduction, due to voluntary redundancies, transfers and some resignations.
