Contract Awards: Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution awarded $9.7M contract to develop deep ocea

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, Mass., is being awarded a $9,749,826 firm-fixed-price requirements type, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to develop and enhance existing deep ocean survey capability to survey all ocean depths using Autonomous Undersea Vehicles.
Work will be performed in Woods Hole, Mass., and work is expected to be completed by July 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not awarded competitively in accordance with FAR 6.302-3 and 10 USC 2304(c)(3)(ii) Industrial Mobilization; Engineering, Developmental, or Research Capability; or Expert Services, to establish or maintain an essential engineering, research, or development capability to be provided by an educational or other non-profit institution or federal funded research and development center.
