BP Indonesia and Subsea 7 choose Coabis

Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner Limited is pleased to announce that BP have chosen Coabis to manage the subsea integrity management of their Indonesian assets.

This decision was taken after evaluation by Subsea 7 of several software applications, and is based on the proven planning, data-gathering and reporting functions of Coabis.

This is a fast-track implementation – Coabis will be installed, commissioned and in-use offshore for BP and Subsea 7 before Christmas 2004.

We are delighted to welcome BP Indonesia and Subsea 7 to the Coabis User Group, and we look forward to a constructive working relationship with them.

Shell Todd Oil Services choose Coabis

Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner Limited (AKOPL) is pleased to announce that New Zealand-based Shell Todd Oil Services have chosen Coabis to manage the underwater integrity of their structures and pipelines. Shell Todd have taken this decision following extensive evaluation of several software applications.

This is a fast-track implementation with Shell Todd and Seaworks – Coabis will be installed and commissioned on-site in New Zealand before Christmas 2004.

AKOPL is delighted to welcome Shell Todd to the Coabis User Group, and we look forward to a mutually productive and beneficial working relationship with them.

Oceanscan Assists In Tunisian Oil Field Inspection

Jack Mead, an experienced ROV pilot employed by Oceanscan, was recently hired by Lundin Petroleum to operate a SeaLion ROV purchased from JW Fishers.  The project involved inspection the FPSO (floating production storage off-load) tander IKDAM in the ISIS field off the coast of Tunisia.

Coabis 9.0: Digital Video

Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner is pleased to announce the release of Coabis 9.0. Building on the successful Coabis 8 application, the new version includes an interface with NETmc DVRi digital video encoder hardware. As well as encoding all routine video (full-frame MPEG2), this interface also enables Data Recorders to grab still images and create short video clips during dive operations, and link these files automatically to anomalies, etc.
