VideoSteady Stabilisation Software

VideoSteady is the very latest in video stabilisation software from Tritech International Limited. In conjunction with our partners SeeByte Ltd, Tritech has developed an innovative video software tool that is able to stabilise video images in real time or as a post processing aid.


W&W Marine Completes Offshore Pipeline Inspection

novaray writes:  In July of 2006, W&W Marine completed a contract from Gulfstream Gas & Oil to conduct a video and sonar survey of a 74 mile stretch of pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico. The natural gas line which runs from Coden, Alabama to Florida’s, Port Manatee in Tampa Bay, went on line in 2001, supplying the Pinellas county power plant.


Pipe technology performs for Angola

Remote pipeline flooding and pigging operations for Chevron’s Lombito Tomboco project offshore Angola have been completed by an Aberdeen-based technology specialist using ROVs.


Surespek to Deliver Digital Video services to Woodside

SureSpek of Western Australia, an Inspection, Maintenance & Repair (IMR) consultancy and services company, have recently placed an order in excess of US$100,000, with NETmc Marine in Scotland, for a complete range of digital video recorders. The order has been placed to fulfil SureSpek s contractual commitments to Australia's largest publicly traded oil and gas exploration and production company Woodside.


IMCA puts together work group on digital video

The advent of digital video brings with it a new era for the offshore oil and gas industry, notes the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), which has established a new work group to look at the issue in detail.


Fugro ROV completes Esso Australia annual inspection programme

Fugro Survey Pty Ltd has announced that it has successfully completed a major ROV survey.

The company was subcontracted by Fraser Diving (Australia) to support their Esso Subsea Services contract.


Coabis 9.2 - Additional Digital Video Interface

Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner Limited are pleased to announce the release of Coabis 9.2. Building on the already-successful Coabis 9 application, the new version includes an interface with VisualSoft's VisualWorks digital video encoding function. This provides similar functionality to the existing Coabis-NETmc DVRi digital video interface.


Digital Video: Talisman Energy and ChevronTexaco go live with Coabis-NETmc

Within the last few weeks, Talisman Energy UK and ChevronTexaco North Sea UK have started their 2005 underwater inspection campaigns. As with previous years, both companies are using Coabis to plan, execute and report on these works. This year however, both companies have also opted to use the Coabis-NETmc Marine DVRi digital video interface, to replace SVHS video tapes.


Introducing the SNIFFIT Subsea Hydrocarbon Detector
