The one day “Offshore Operator Training” course will cover the following software applications which are developed by WGIM:
• IC-Inspection (previously known as Inspection Manager)
On-line data acquisition of inspection data during diving and ROV inspection operations of subsea structures, equipment and pipelines
• NEXUS IC (previously known as AIM)
Offline inspection data and video review
Savante, global leaders in subsea laser measurement and inspection, are proud to announce the completion of the worlds first underwater laser scan of a subsea wellhead.
Savante were contacted directly by a major oil and gas operator after a general visual inspection (GVI) campaign detected an area of suspected damage on a wellhead sealing face. Video cameras placed within the well at that time using remotely-operated vehicles (ROVS) were unable to confirm the extent of the damage. Significantly, a well re-entry had been scheduled with a semi-submersible rig already en-route.
Savante launch full service subsea laser scanning, measurement and inspection services on their stunning new web site at www.savante.co.uk
Savante are the leading subsea laser inspection, laser measurement and laser scanning specialists in the offshore oil and gas sector, with applications in positioning, measurement, corrosion management, damage assessment and communications.
Ultrasonic inspection specialist Sonomatic has introduced a new subsea inspection tool which, the company says, can be deployed entirely by ROV. This should deliver significant benefits to operators, including reduced inspection costs and access to deeper waters.
Aker Solutions is pleased to announce that EnQuest and Petrofac Facilities Management are using Coabis to manage the 2010 subsea inspection of EnQuest's Heather and Thistle platforms.
Aker Solutions is pleased to announce that Pertamina Hulu Energi ONWJ Limited in Indonesia has chosen Coabis to manage the subsea integrity management of their underwater assets.
They are delighted to welcome Pertamina to the Coabis User Group, and look forward to a constructive working relationship with them.
For over 25 years, Cygnus Instruments has been the leading manufacturer of reliable, rugged underwater thickness gauges for divers carrying out maintenance inspections and corrosion checks. Developed with the Cygnus pioneered Multiple Echo technique, all Cygnus gauges ignore surface coatings and give only true, accurate measurements. This technique ensures that successive returning echoes precisely match and are thus error-checked before a measurement is displayed. As a result, inspection time and costs are significantly reduced.
As part of Tritex NDT's ongoing product development program, they have launched the Multigauge 4000 series ROV thickness gauges for mounting onto most work class remotely operated vehicles (ROV).
