New multiplexer handles multiple channels on existing copper cables

Using a multiplexer that works on copper cables can be an economic and practical alternative to fibre optic systems, especially when adding multiplexer to existing equipment. MacArtney has developed a new electrical multiplexer, the NEXUS MK E, that handles online communication using existing copper cables.


Perry Slingsby Systems launches new Universal Subsea Display (USD)

Perry Slingsby Systems are proud to announce the release of their new Universal Subsea Display (USD). The USD utilises PSS advanced technology in oil electronics and displays information from a wide range of sensor types. It is viewed using ROV cameras or directly by divers. The USD is housed in a robust anodised aluminium alloy housing with an integrated compensator. The unit is available with a two line display (6 digits per row) or a single line (4 digits and a minus sign). The two line display can display information from two separate inputs.

FlowQuest 2000 Acoustic Current Profiler

LinkQuest Inc., San Diego, California, recently extended its popular FlowQuest acoustic current profiler line to include the small and lightweight FlowQuest 2000 system. The FlowQuest 2000 system operates at 2 MHz with a blank distance as short as 10 cm. The system is about 12.6 cm in diameter, 21.0 cm in length and weighs less than 1.4 kgs in water.
