Fugro Subsea Services has been awarded a long term contract by Sarawak Shell Berhad / Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Limited (Shell) for the provision of underwater inspection, maintenance and repair services at their subsea infrastructure across Malaysia.
French energy giant Total has awarded subsea construction firm Ocean Installer a contract for dredging services at the West Franklin field.
The contract with the Total subsidiary ELF Exploration UK Ltd, will see Ocean Installer carry out excavation and dredging work at the field, which lies around 240km east of Aberdeen in the Central Graben area of the North Sea.
Seabed Geosolutions will carry out a major Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC) contract for PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia on the Temana and D18 fields. The project will start at the end of the first quarter of 2014 and is expected to take approximately six months to complete. The contract value is around USD 70 million.
Technip was awarded by Petrobras two ultra-deep water contracts for the supply of flexible pipes for the Sapinhoá Norte field and I5 at Lula field (former Tupi field), located in the Santos Basin pre-salt area (Brazil), at a water depth of up to 2,500 meters.

Total announces the final investment decision to develop the onshore Yamal LNG project in Russia. Total holds a 20% direct interest in the project which will develop reserves greater than 5 billion barrels of oil equivalent. The Yamal LNG project consists of an LNG plant with a capacity of 16.5 million tons per year (Mt/y) and represents a total capital expenditure of 27 billion dollars, as estimated by the operator.
Bibby Offshore Singapore (BOS) is pleased to announce the successful completion of extensive Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) work on Brunei Shell Petroleum(BSP) offshore assets.
The project involved the inspection of BSP's East and West assets and covered a total of 48 pipelines, with a combined length of 272km, and 93 platform risers.
