BP awards Fugro the West Nile Delta AUV Survey, Offshore Egypt

Fugro Survey Limited in Aberdeen, UK is pleased to have been chosen by BP Exploration (Egypt) Limited as survey partner for their regional AUV Hydrographic and analogue geophysical survey over the West Nile Delta concession, offshore Egypt.

This prestigious project to survey more than 7,000 survey line kilometres in water depths between 150m and 2000m will be the largest survey ever undertaken by Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV).  The AUV survey is scheduled to take 3 months to complete.


CTC statement

CTC Marine Projects Ltd has received a Letter of Intent from Statoil for trenching services on Norne SAT. The work will commence imminently and will be performed by the Pipeline Trenching ROV - PT1 onboard Ocean Challenger.

Ground Breaking Partnership Agreement between Venture and Subsea 7

Venture Production plc (Venture), the Aberdeen based UK independent oil and gas production company, and global subsea contractor, Subsea 7 today announced their intention to enter into a subsea partnership agreement which is unique to the subsea contracting industry.  The contract is valued in excess of US $150M over the first three years.


Subsea 7 Wins IRT Award from Chevron

Subsea 7's Integrated Remote Technologies (IRT) division announced the extension of an existing contract by Chevron Upstream Europe for the provision of remotely operated vehicle (ROV) support services and associated personnel onboard the Borgsten Dolphin in the UK Sector North Sea.


Technip-J P Kenny Selected for Upstream Development in Australia

Technip and J P Kenny announced today that their Australian entities, Technip Oceania Pty Ltd and J P Kenny Pty Ltd (Perth), in a 50/50 joint venture, have been selected as the front end engineering and design (FEED) and engineering, procurement, construction management (EPCM) contractor with respect to the upstream facilities for the Greater Gorgon development. The development is located approximately 70-140 km offshore Western Australia at the North West Shelf in 220-1,300m water depth and includes both the Gorgon and Jansz fields.


UK Ministry of Defence orders 10 Remus AUVs from Hydroid Inc.

Hydroid Inc. announced today that they have recently received a multi-year contract from the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence for ten REMUS Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) systems.

Hydroid has teamed with QinetiQ and Babcock Design & Technology on the Ministry of Defence contract. QinetiQ will play a major role in the provision of logistic and service support, utilizing its expertise in UUV technology to maintain and service the vehicles and its waterside trials facility for training, testing and acceptance. QinetiQ will also play a major role in all of the in-country service and support requirements over the five year Contractor Logistic Support period following acceptance into service of the AUV systems early in 2006.

AMEC, Clough “integrate” in Woodside tender

U.K. contractor AMEC and joint-venture partner Clough are in an advanced stage of a Woodside Energy tender for “integrated services” at a cluster of Australasian oilfields.

The three-year contract to be announced in September entails project management, integrated engineering, operational maintenance, modification and supply chain integration services for Woodside oil assets: at stake are the Wanaea-Cossack-Lambert-Hermes (Cossack Pioneer FPSO), Enfield, Legendre and Laminaria-Corallina (Northern Endeavour FPSO) fields.



Stolt gets $50-M Hydro nod for pipeline

A buoyant Stolt Offshore S.A. has won the $50-million mission from operator Hydro of installing an export pipeline from the Njord production unit to the Åsgård transportation pipeline.

Associated structures, trench works and rock-dumping must be designed and built for the 12-inch, 40-kilometre line.

The installing begins in 2006-2007.



Subsea 7 Announces $70 Million Epic Brazil Contract Award

Global subsea contractor, Subsea 7 today announced an award notification of an EPIC (engineering, procurement, installation and construction) contract from Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras).  The contract, valued in excess of US $70M, is for the installation of the Gas Export Pipeline in the Golfinho field, located at Espírito Santo Basin.
