Subsea 7 S.A. announced that it has signed a contract to build a new heavy construction vessel which will be delivered in 2016.

 Technip officially named its latest new state-of-the art pipelay vessel on Friday 3rd May at Florø, Norway. During the ceremony held at Westcon’s Yard, the Deep Energy was named  by the vessel's godmother, Patricia Pilenko, wife of Thierry Pilenko, Technip’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

 Technip officially named its latest new vessel today in Vigo, Spain. The Deep Orient, a newbuild medium construction vessel, will be dedicated to subsea construction and flexible pipelay projects.

During the ceremony held at the Metalships & Docks (MSD) shipyard in Vigo, the ship was named by the vessel’s godmother, Véronique Delormel, wife of Frédéric Delormel, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Subsea at Technip.

 The cutting edge Seven Viking vessel, designed for operations in the harshest environments was unveiled and named at a ceremony in Stavanger, Norway, by Subsea 7, Eidesvik Offshore and Ulstein on, 30 January 2013. 

  Vessels on the narrow deep water channel of the Savannah River at downtown Savannah, GA recently had to contend with an unusual addition to the waterway's typical workboat scene. In among the passing container ships, tugboats and ferries, the bright yellow 6ft (1.8m) Oceanscience Z-Boat 1800 was busy recording single beam bathymetry while being demonstrated at the recent HYPACK 2013 user training conference. Fortunately, the dual motor survey boat can reach 10kts at full speed which proved adequate to keep out of trouble on the busy river, and at the same time entertain travelers on the regular ferry crossing. Conference attendees on the multibeam demonstration survey boats were also surprised to see the little remote boat alongside in the main channel outside the conference venue. 

Greatship Global Energy Services Pte. Ltd., a Singapore incorporated subsidiary of Greatship (India) Limited (GIL), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited has taken delivery of a mobile offshore self elevating drilling rig, Le Tourneau Super 116(E) – ‘GREATDRILL CHAAYA’ from Lamprell Energy Ltd., UAE.

  Subsea 7 has signed a contract to build a new Dive Support Vessel (DSV). The new vessel will be delivered in 2015.

  Technip has entered a long-term charter agreement for a new build offshore construction vessel with North Sea Shipping. The charter will be for a period of five or seven years commitment plus a five-year extension option, with a further option to purchase the vessel.

  Two new vessels have joined Subsea 7's offshore construction fleet. 

Oceanteam Shipping ASA announced today that its new OTS 1250t modular carousel systems has completed its trials and is mobilized for Visser & Smit Marine Contractors in The Netherlands for a minimum of 200 days onboard Solstad Offshore ASA’s CSV Normand Flower for Offshore Renewables Operations in the Southern North Sea.

In Q1 2013 Fugro will take delivery of a new-built vessel, M/V Fugro Pioneer, the first of Fugro's dedicated Offshore Survey Costal Vessel series. Featured on Stand 11121 at EWEA Offshore Amsterdam, the new vessel will operate in North-West European waters.

Norwegian based NorWind Installer contracted the Ulstein Dutch design offices Ulstein Sea of Solutions and Ulstein IDEA Equipment Solutions as their design partners for a new foundation installation vessel for the offshore wind industry. The vessel is a customized version of the Deepwater Enabler design from Ulstein.
